The city of Brasilia (Brazil) chose to acquire 28 blower fan kits composed of 3 LEADER fire blower fans to equip its firefighters.

- 1 petrol driven LEADER blower fan MT236. It blows up to 43 100 m³/h in open air,
- 1 electric LEADER blower fan ESV230 with speed variator. It blows up to 33 900 m³/h in open air.
- 1 electric auxiliary LEADER blower fan SR460 blowing up to 13 000 m³/h.

In the same way that the firefighters of Rio de Janeiro that recently acquired same kits, Brasilia firefighters will use these firefighting blower fans for operations of combined ventilation. This technique of intervention coupled to water extinguishing systems allows controlling the smoke identified as the real danger of fires in closed areas.

After creation of an opening and of an outgoing, the MT236 (or EVG230) is positioned at the entrance of a building to pressurize the stairway.

The SR460, mounted on the floor of the fire, allows to relay the airflow created by the main blower fan (MT236 or ESV230) to orient this airflow on the fire and attack it.

The space, free from the smoke, is thus safer for firefighters as well as for victims: better visibility, temperature drop, and decrease of the risk of spread of fire.
